Bone substitute granules – Powerbone granules
Brand: Bonegraft
- Powerbone is a porous bone substitute based on beta-tricalcium phosphate (b-TCP) that contains ZrO₂ nanoparticles. The b-TCP component is rapidly resorbed and enables excellent bone integration. The composition of Powerbone bone substitutes provides an ideal balance to ensure optimal long-term volume retention. Powerbone materials also contain silicate, which enhances the retention of circulating proteins, thereby imparting bioactive properties to the granules.
- The combination of a porous structure and microporosity facilitates the capillary movement of blood and body fluids, enhanced penetration by osteogenic cells, and the ossification of the synthetic matrix.
- To ensure macroporosity, Powerbone granules, wedges and blocks allow bone cells to penetrate deep into the matrix.
- Powerbone polygonal granules come in a range of particle sizes, from 0.25 to 7 mm.
- The irregularly shaped particles promote interlocking and improve mechanical stability.
- It can be combined with autologous blood and/or bone marrow, as well as other bone grafts.
