INION S-1 System

The S-1 bioabsorbable cervical fusion system is composed of absorbable polymers (L-lactide and D-lactide). These polymers have a long track record of proven safety. The implant retains its initial stability for 16 weeks, after which it begins to degrade gradually. The total degradation time is 2–4 years. The correct positioning of the implant can be verified on post-operative X-rays using markers.

S-1 anterior cervical implants are available in a range of sizes and in sterile packaging.
